Delivery, refunds, your data

The small print, in plain words.

MENMOIRS is sold direct, by the writer, with no retailer in between. This page says what you get, when it arrives, what happens if you want your money back, and what is done with your details.

Who you are buying from

AVDIENCE LTD, registered in England and Wales (company number 16471452), registered at 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. MENMOIRS is written by Jude Sable and published by Avdience. Payments are handled by Stripe; the card details never reach us. Anything at all: jude@avdience.com.

What arrives, and when

Ebook. The EPUB downloads the moment you pay, on the thank-you page, and a download link is emailed to you as well. That link works for seven days; if it lapses, reply to the email and a new one comes back by hand.

Paperback. The first printing ships within twelve weeks of your order, to the address you give at checkout, and you get an email when it leaves. Shipping is charged at checkout and shown before you pay.

Audiobook. Read by the writer, in production now. Pre-orders are confirmed by email at once, and on release day a listening link arrives at the same address. The link lasts a year, plays in any browser, and offers the M4B to download.

Refunds

If the book is not what you hoped for, reply to your receipt or write to jude@avdience.com and the money comes back. No form, no reason needed. Refunds go to the card you paid with and usually land within five to ten working days.

If a paperback arrives damaged, or does not arrive at all, say so and a replacement or a refund follows, whichever you would rather have. You do not need to send a damaged copy back.

You also have rights that this page cannot take away. Under UK consumer law you may cancel a paperback order within fourteen days of receiving it and return it for a refund. Digital files are the exception: the ebook is delivered immediately, and at checkout you agree to that, which ends the fourteen-day cancellation right for it. The offer above still stands regardless, because a book that disappoints is not a sale worth keeping.

Your details

Buying leaves us with your email address, and for a paperback your delivery address. They are used to deliver the book, to answer you, and for nothing else. Payments run through Stripe, email through Resend, and the site on Vercel; each holds the details needed to do its part.

The mailing list is separate and opt-in. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and leaving the list removes you from it.

Your details are never sold, and never passed to anyone beyond the services above. To see what is held, or to have it deleted, write to jude@avdience.com. Orders already placed are kept as long as tax rules require.

The site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or analytics trackers.

The writing itself

The book is yours to read, keep, and lend as you would any book. It is not yours to resell, upload, or hand out in bulk. Quote it in a review with credit; for longer extracts, ask.
